The Yuven’s Dream Poverty Fighting Initiative (Yuven’s Dream), a legal Nongovernmental common initiative organization (NGO) in Cameroon, was conceived with the idea of relieving poverty sustainably by providing the needy of Cameroon villages and beyond with the materials, ideas, and means of providing for themselves. As the saying goes: “Give a man a fish and he has food for a day, teach him how to fish and he has food for a lifetime”. Thus, the Yuven’s Dream idea is helping fight poverty by providing education and textbooks, computers, clothes, malaria tents, vegetable seeds, chickens, and goats to those who cannot afford them. A garden helps teach them to grow their own food and provide for themselves and their families. The idea is based on the assertion that to relieve poverty sustainably in any community, that community must participate in the poverty relief efforts otherwise any efforts are thwarted and always short-lived.
Yuven’s Dream Objectives
Objective #1: To help fight poverty by providing Books, Vegetable Seeds, Chickens & Goats, to those who cannot afford them and teach them to grow their own food and provide for themselves and their families.
Objective #2: To help prevent disease by providing Malaria Nets, Clothing, Blankets, and other Necessities to those in need.
